A 1,372 acre native tall grass prairie with numerous “prairie pothole” wetlands. The area is managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Waterfowl, Peregrine Falcon, Greater Prairie-Chicken, Sandhill Crane, Upland Sandpiper, Common Snipe, Sedge and Marsh Wren, prairie sparrows.
Access the area from the east or west sides of the WPA. This WPA is a good area to view wildflowers. Moose are occasionally seen in this area.
